My name is Brian Bowles, and I’ve dedicated the last 20 years of my life to serving the community in the field of law enforcement, public service, and security. For the past 10 years, I’ve worked in the Porter County Coroner’s Office, and for the last seven of those years, I’ve served as Chief Deputy Coroner. This work is not easy, but it’s deeply important, and I take it seriously. I’ve stood with grieving families, worked closely with first responders, and handled each case with the professionalism and compassion our community deserves. My experience has given me a clear understanding of what this office needs: strong leadership, transparency, and a continued commitment to dignity and respect for every individual and every family.
As coroner, I’ll keep building on the foundation we’ve laid. I’ll continue modernizing the office, strengthening cooperation with law enforcement and emergency services, and ensuring that every investigation is handled thoroughly, ethically, and with care. Porter County is my home. This community matters to me. I’m running for Porter County Coroner because I believe in service, I believe in accountability, and I believe the people of Porter County deserve nothing less.
